Ben Whitcombe Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. We provide scrap car collection, scrap van collection, and commercial vehicle services across Somerset and surrounding areas.

We are registered with the Environment Agency as an authorised waste carrier and comply with the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013.

We offer the following services:

• Scrap car collection and disposal
• Scrap van collection and disposal
• Commercial vehicle collection and disposal
• Purchase of end-of-life vehicles (ELVs)
• Purchase of damaged or non-running vehicles
• Free vehicle collection within our service area

All vehicles are processed in accordance with environmental regulations and the End-of-Life Vehicles Directive.

Quotes are non-binding estimates. Any quote we provide is based on the information you give us about your vehicle. The final price may differ if:

• The vehicle condition differs from what was described
• The vehicle is missing parts or components
• There are accessibility issues at the collection location
• Market conditions for scrap metal have changed significantly

The final agreed price will be confirmed at the time of collection. You are under no obligation to proceed with the sale if you do not agree to the final price offered.

All prices quoted are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include free collection within our standard service area.

By selling a vehicle to us, you confirm and warrant that:

• You are the legal owner of the vehicle or are authorised to sell it on behalf of the owner
• The vehicle is free from any finance agreements, liens, or encumbrances
• You have the legal right to transfer ownership of the vehicle
• The information you provide about the vehicle is accurate and truthful

You must provide valid identification and proof of ownership as required by the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013. We reserve the right to refuse to purchase any vehicle if we have concerns about ownership or documentation.

Upon completion of the sale, we will provide you with a Certificate of Destruction (CoD) for end-of-life vehicles and notify the DVLA of the change of ownership.

Payment for your vehicle will be made at the time of collection, subject to:

• Verification of your identity and proof of ownership
• Confirmation that the vehicle matches the description provided
• Agreement on the final price

Payment may be made by bank transfer, cheque, or another method agreed between us. In compliance with the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013, we do not make cash payments for scrap vehicles.

You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

• Use the website in any way that breaches any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Use the website to transmit or procure the sending of any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website, servers, computers, or databases

• Weather or road conditions make collection unsafe
• Other unforeseen circumstances arise

In such cases, we will contact you to arrange an alternative date where possible.
